Lake Cave is a magnificent chamber deep beneath the earth's surface. Visitors descend a staircase through a spectacular ancient sinkhole called a doline, gazing up at the towering karri trees from the floor of the sunken forest.
A tranquil lake inside the cave reflects the delicate crystal formations on the ceiling above. Droplets hang from the tips of straws and stalactites before dripping into the lake, creating ripples in the water's reflections. Visitors can marvel at the unique 'Suspended Table' formation, which weighs several tonnes and seems to defy gravity as it hovers above the clear lake water. As the guide changes the lights to focus on unique features within the cave, incredible views and silhouettes are etched in the darkness, leaving visitors in awe.
